The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship is a competition for Purebred Arabian horses, showcasing their beauty, agility & heritage. It is run over 3 days culminating in the Championship classes for the most exquisite horses.
Under the patronage of HH Sh. Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and UAE Minister of Finance, the Championship will run for the 7th time in March 2010.
It is held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 18th to 20th March 2010.
The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship is the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world. It is a beauty competition for Purebred Arabian horses, from the very young to the elderly statesmen of the Arabian equine world.
The 2009 event was a huge success with 392 horses entered from 12 countries and competing for prizes valued at US$4, 000, 000.
The 2010 Championship has been promoted to ECAHO ‘Title Show’ status; only 5 Shows in the world hold this prestigious award.
The Championship will again be enhanced in 2010 with the staging of the Dubai International Horse Fair, which will open alongside the Championship. The Horse Fair is the largest equestrian exhibition in the region and caters to everyone in the equestrian world from trade to consumers.
Both these events are open to the public free of charge.
Dubai International Horse Fair(DIHF) 2010 will be larger than the last event.
DIHF is the largest event in the Middle East and the show is recognised as the
official event of the industry.
