Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Macktoum Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance launched in 2009 the first ever Media awards offering prize monies of 1 Million Dirham for journalistic excellence in a number of categories, Television, Newspaper and Magazine’s both in Arabic and English. They are instituted to recognise and encourage journalistic distinction in both Arabic and International Equestrian Media.
The response to the awards exceeded the expectations of the Judging committee chaired by Abdulla Al Ansari. The quality of the entries proved that Arabic & International Equestrian media has come of age and is succeeding in its mission of information dissemination and analysis of happenings around the Equestrian world.
The awards have been a huge success and brought to the forefront the best of the best in Arab and International journalism. The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship Journalism Award promises to raise journalistic benchmarks and invigorate Equestrian journalism in the both the Arab and the International world.
